"This week, we initiated the Honda SmartCharge™ beta program with our Fit EV customers in Southern California. Talking to the grid and looking at the customer's schedule, Honda SmartCharge™ can shift EV charging in real-time, enabling charging during periods when electricity demand is low and renewable energy supplies are high, while ensuring the customer's car is ready to go when they are.
Electrified cars can be very rewarding to drive, and with newer products like our Clarity Plug-In Hybrid, traditional compromises to driving range, premium features, interior space and vehicle utility have been erased. Through innovations like Honda SmartCharge™, we are working to address the infrastructure side of the EV value equation.
